A God given Dream becomes a Vison

and the vision becomes Reality. United Holiness Deliverance Temple (UHDT) was a dream. With the vision, our Founder, Elder Harold Rogers, stepped out on faith in 1997 to do the work of God. From very humble beginnings, the dream...the work of God is being fulfilled and UHDT is making history. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow!
The vision finally became Reality for Evangelist Rogers, a carpenter by trade, and a faithful member of Full Gospel Holy Temple-Dallas. Led by God, he leased a 900 square foot office space in Mesquite, TX for a place of worship. With Pastor Rogers working very diligently the first two months of 1997 along side a small group of friends and family members, the church doors opened for Full Gospel Holy Temple-Mesquite for the first time on  March 9,1997

The vision finally became Reality for Evangelist Rogers, a carpenter by trade, and a faithful member of Full Gospel Holy Temple-Dallas. Led by God, he leased a 900 square foot office space in Mesquite, TX for a place of worship. With Pastor Rogers working very diligently the first two Months of 1997 alongside a small group of friends and family members, the church doors opened for Full Gospel Holy Temple-Mesquite for the first time on March 9, 1997. And just like today, Sunday school began at 9:45 a.m., not 9:46. Embarking on new territory, Pastor Harold Rogers proudly stood behind his pulpit and delivered "Living in Love And Holiness" to the 8-member congregation that Sunday morning. It was then he asked for the first time "how many brought your bible? Hold it up and let me see it." It was then that he coined the phrase... "Leave your shoes, but bring your bible", an expression taken literally by some of the members today. It's not uncommon to peek down between the pews and spot someone who has slipped out their shoes, or to catch a glimpse of someone trying to slip through the prayer line in their bare feet. “Leave your shoes, but bring your bible!

Within the first 6 months, Pastor Rogers began a weekly Saturday morning radio broadcast on 1040 AM KGGR, from 11-11:30 am. Then on December 5, 1998 the broadcast went out over the airways live from our sanctuary, with 35 people in attendance. Pastor became known for his opening statement on the broadcast, "Call Aunt Jennie, turn the beans on low, tell the kids to sit down because Pastor Rogers is on the air." This medium allowed him to reach a larger audience of people seeking God, creating the need for a Saturday morning telephone ministry and prayer line. Drawing in visitors over the airways, people were actually saved and delivered while attending the live radio broadcasts, and the church membership increased as a result. Meeting the challenge head on, the church battle cry was taken from Daniel 11:32, “The people that do know their God, shall be strong and do exploits".

1998 Encouraged by all that God was doing to make the vision a reality, Pastor Rogers ``Took On The Challenge" and the church membership continued to grow. Early in 1998, we expanded from the 900 square foot space to 4,600 square feet to accommodate the growing congregation, now nearly 100 strong. History in the making! The choir, Total Praise Ensemble, was born that year. Fourteen members were baptized during our first Baptismal Service. Informational seminars went forth: "Marriage" - preparation for the singles, and "Let's Talk" - open discussion for the teens, forums that are still being offered today.
UHDT Vision. Pastor Rogers recognized the work of God and stepped back to let Him negotiate the terms. In doing so, the $50,000 down payment was reduced by $45,000! That's right, $5,000! Soon after, God worked another miracle for UHDT to affordably obtain the additional 3 acres of land located next door. The land has been provided and a temple is part of the vision for tomorrow. "Rising Above The Challenge," a Dream becomes a Vision and the vision becomes Reality.
The 1st Senior Banquet honoring our high school graduates took place. Inception of the "Hallelujah Bowl” ushered in the New Year. History in the making! Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow!Still making history, the first UHDT ceremony took place in 2004 when 19 ministers were licensed. Then in 2005, Pastor Rogers accepted the "Challenge To Continue,"baptizing over 40 members in one service. In a day of evolution within the church world, he has refused to lower God's standard for Holiness, and UHDT is still on the move. From a 900 square foot sanctuary, with an 8 member congregation, we have grown to nearly 200 members strong...and still growing. In 2006, God moved us to another level when He ordained Pastor Rogers as Bishop, for his obedience and faithful service. Since the beginning, it was evident that God had stamped His seal of approval on this ministry, and the work moved forward in 2007
Believing "That We've Come This Far By Faith," the year 2000 brought with it lots of excitement, such as the first Women's Revival and the first Women's Prayer Breakfast. The musical groups Youth for Christ and 1-A-Chord were established. Our young people exploded on the scene with the first youth revival, "Jailbreak 2000 - Youth Busting Out." All within the first three years!

2001 With God's hand on this ministry, Bishop Rogers vowed to continue doing His will. In 2008, remaining faithful and obedient, Bishop was elevated to Apostle. Under the leadership of our Apostle and 1st Lady, UHDT was still on the move for God and still making history!
As the Reality of the Vision became even more apparent in 2001, United Holiness Deliverance Temple (UHDT) was founded. Still serving the same God, the once Full Gospel Holy Temple-Mesquite was now moving in a different direction. Following God's lead, new ministries and auxiliaries were established within the church: the Jail Ministry, Single and Saved, Sunshine Club and Young Ladies of Elegance. The first annual Women's Retreat also took place that year. UHDT... Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow! Making History!
The first UHDT television broadcast aired December 5th on Universal Affiliate Network (UAN). Apostle Rogers greets his television viewers every Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. with "Early Morning Breakfast". It does get "hot in the kitchen," but Apostle continues serving up those prosperity pancakes. Tune in to the Early Morning Breakfast broadcast, and satisfy your hunger for the word.

2003
God moved in a big way in 2003!! The Brotherhood hosted their first annual Prayer Breakfast. But the highlight of all events since day one was when God sent a stranger, Pastor Richard Breon, with news of our next church home. His church property was on the market with cash offers on the table, but God revealed to Pastor Breon that the building located on 2 acres at 10121 Scyene Road, was part of the UHDT vision
